Welcome to the website of the HPMRC (Hoo Peninsula Model Railway Club). We are a small friendly club of enthusiastic amateurs based in the village of Hoo near Rochester in Kent. We meet every Thursday to work on and operate our OO gauge model train layout. We are always on the lookout for new members whatever your experience, so if you are interested in joining us or dropping by to see our work check out our contact page for details.

Check out the gallery for pictures of our work and check back here for our latest news.

Thanks to all those who visited us at the Allhallows village fete over the summer to see us running the live steam railway. Despite lots of interest in the layout, it did not result in the new members we hoped for.

We may need to find new premises come the new year, so if anybody out there knows of somewhere we can set the layout permanently or has secure storage for weekly setup then please get in touch. All we need is power for the layout & kettle of course, lighting and the ability for some of our more elderly members to be able to park close by. A secure out building would be ideal. Either that or a lottery win! If anyone can help, drop by on a Thursday for a chat and a cuppa.

If you would like to visit the club then please give either the
Chairman or myself a call.
Ralph Smyth Club Secretary.
